Book Detective

Maggie's curiosity is piqued when a greyhound comes to the clinic with an unusual injury, and the dog's owner won't give her full name or address. A day later, a kitten arrives badly injured from a greyhound attack. There's something fishy going on with these greyhounds, and Maggie's determined to get to the bottom of it. Meanwhile, her basketball team is facing stiff competition, and a new girl, Darla, is vying for Maggie's starring position on the team -- and trying to horn in on Maggie's greyhound research. Somehow, Maggie has to stay focused on her basketball game and still find a way to help the greyhounds, without letting the competition with Darla derail her efforts.
